Peter Ruark, a Senior Policy Analyst at the Michigan League for Public Policy, said, “For example, telling them to come in 15 minutes early, but not paying them for that, but then punishing them if they don’t come in 15 minutes early.”

He says within the last few years, 130,000 people in Michigan were victims of wage theft.
