Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed into law on Monday Senate Bill 362, which aims to reduce potentially harmful impacts of Medicaid work requirements.

A change to the Healthy Michigan Plan is coming in January 2020 that will require some beneficiaries to tell the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services about 80 hours each month of work or activities such as looking for work. If they don’t, they could lose coverage.
