GRAND RAPIDS, MI — School districts want Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to restore funding cut from a program aimed at providing students with a variety of nutritious food and supporting local farms by buying more produce.

The 10 Cents A Meal For Michigan’s Kids & Farms program provides participating schools with match incentive funding up to 10 cents per meal to buy and serve fresh local fruits, vegetables and dry beans.
