Kids Count in Michigan and the Michigan League for Public Policy have produced the annual Kids Count in Michigan Data Book since 1992.

The Data Book reviews the most recently available and trend data to evaluate the well-being of children while identifying policies that, if implemented, could improve life and outcomes for families. For the first time, this year’s book includes a young adult feature section, recognizing Kids Count’s expanded focus on young people making the transition to adulthood and the unique challenges they face.

But most importantly, the book provides policy solutions—backed by evidence—that can meaningfully improve the lives of Michigan’s youngest residents.

It’s time to take action.
