The Michigan League for Public Policy (MLPP) presented Fred Keller with its first-ever Corporate Crusader Award as part of its annual public policy forum last week.

The award was given to recognize the efforts Keller and the company he founded, Cascade Engineering, have made to promote fairness and diversity in their culture and beyond. Accepting the award on Fred Keller’s behalf was Sharon Darby, Cascade Engineering’s Director of Environmental, Safety and Sustainability.

“Both in his work at Cascade Engineering and his creation of Talent 2025 in West Michigan, Mr. Keller knows that business plays a vital role in promoting social and policy change,” said Gilda Z. Jacobs, President and CEO for the Michigan League for Public Policy. “It starts from within at the culture of a company and their own practices, but it helps turn the tide in all of society. We are so grateful for all Mr. Keller and Cascade Engineering have done to promote diversity and equity, and are proud to call them a partner—and a true Corporate Crusader—in the fight for better lives for their employees and all workers and their families in Michigan.”
