The rising costs of essentials, coupled with stagnating wages, have created an economy that is out of reach, unfair and unsecure. Inflation-adjusted median wages in Michigan have only grown 3.9% since 1978, compared to 33% for the richest 1%. What Michigan needs are policies that promote wage growth and create a fair and sufficient tax code.
