…Federal funding accounts for about 10% of the money, about $2.3 billion, that goes to state public education in Michigan, and schools in the state received about $460 million in federal funding for special education in 2024. That makes up about 15% of the overall funding, including from the state, for special education services in Michigan, according to the Michigan League for Public Policy.
