As the country weathers yet another surge in COVID-19 cases, Michiganders are facing renewed worries about the health and safety of their families, the outlook for local businesses, and what all of this will mean for the economy. But for many in our communities, their worries never subsided and started long before the pandemic. From housing and food insecurity to child poverty and racial disparities, the problems facing our state have been made even worse by the ongoing effects of COVID-19.
